About

Ms. Ha Thi Van Khanh is a highly skilled and experienced development professional with over 22 years of experience in various fields, including counter-trafficking, gender, GBV/DV, migration, governance, agricultural and rural development, rural livelihood, HIV/AIDS, and LGBT. Throughout her career, she has demonstrated strong programme/project management skills, including monitoring and evaluation, as well as leadership and coordination skills. She possesses excellent analytical skills and critical thinking abilities, coupled with strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, allowing her to engage stakeholders and partners successfully. Ms. Khanh began her career as a Programme Associate at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where she provided support to the Assistant Resident Representative, Cluster Head, and Programme Officers in all aspects of programme and project management and formulation. Her other responsibilities included undertaking critical project monitoring and follow-up functions and assisting projects in advocacy work. She also participated in project monitoring visits, ensuring conformity with work plans and communicating occurrences promptly. In 2007, she was promoted to Program Analyst at the UNDP, where she implemented Gender and HIV/AIDS programme strategies and was responsible for providing technical inputs and advice to counterparts, including arranging awareness-raising and BCC campaigns/activities. She was accountable for the management of the Country Office programmes on Gender and HIV/AIDS and for ensuring that gender was integrated well into new projects of other portfolios by providing gender inputs to draft project documents. Additionally, she represented UNDP as the focal point on gender and HIV/AIDS to regional and headquarters, as well as to other UN agencies and donors. In 2014, Ms. Khanh became the National Program Coordinator at the UNDP, where she provided leadership and strategic thinking in the implementation of projects on counter-trafficking. She was also responsible for coordinating with relevant government partners and other mechanisms working on counter-trafficking while representing the project in external meetings. Ms. Khanh acted as co-chair of the counter-trafficking network and identified and reached out to new actors, including relevant national organizations, private sector actors, and CSOs. Ms. Khanh’s consultancy experience includes serving as a Gender Consultant for Nestle Vietnam, where she developed training materials and conducted training workshops, and as a Gender Consultant for the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), where she provided consultancy for strengthening gender mainstreaming capabilities in IFAD/UNIFEM funded DPPR projects in Vietnam. Overall, her extensive working and consultancy experience demonstrate her competency in building and maintaining good partnerships with different partners and stakeholders.
