Ms. Pham Thi Hoai An is the Managing Director at IMS, with over 20 years of experience in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Sustainable Development, and Corporate Governance. Before joining the IMS team, she worked as a Senior Social Compliance Auditor at Intertek Testing Service (Intertek) from March 1998 to March 2004. Her role was to supervise and/or perform site-compliance audits based on the Labor Code of Vietnam and the Code of Conducts of each client, which included Nike, Levi’s, Macy’s, Kohl’s, Costco, JC Penny, Walmart, Target, Sears, VF, and more. From April 2004 to May 2019, she worked as a CSR and Sustainability Manager for Perry Ellis International (PEI) and covered a number of countries in Asia such as Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, China, and Hong Kong. As a lead auditor for Social Compliance evaluations (initial/re-audits), Ms. An ensured that factories were in compliance with local labor laws and the PEI Vendor Code of Conduct. She worked closely with factories to provide guidance on development and remediation efforts while also conducting occasional CSR trainings to assist factories with implementing processes to improve overall conditions. Moreover, she screened potential private label factories to determine if they met the respective customer requirements before registration and placement of production.
