News

Our company is excited to share the news that our General Director, Ms. Pham Thi Hoai An, participated in the HREDD RBH Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop, held in Hanoi from April 18th to April 19th, 2023. The workshop focused on the critical topic of Business Impacts on Human Rights & Environment, and Ms. Pham Thi Hoai An found it to be of great value in providing insights and knowledge on this critical subject. Over two days, participants explored various aspects related to the impact of businesses on the environment and human rights. The workshop began with an introduction to global and local risks and impacts of business operations, followed by an in-depth discussion of international expectations and the HREDD practice of how international brands and buyers work with their suppliers.

The workshop provided an overview of HREDD’s current status quo in Vietnam, including existing laws and regulations, the current stakeholder landscape, and available resources. Participants had the opportunity to discuss how to strengthen HREDD in Vietnam and explore the expectations that are on the horizon. The group also discussed measures and approaches that companies and consultants can use to support HREDD, providing practical tools and resources for stepping up HREDD further in Vietnam. Ms. Pham Thi Hoai An found the workshop extremely informative and was delighted to be part of this insightful workshop. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge with our team to help our company achieve our goals of being a responsible and sustainable business.

Our company is committed to ensuring that our operations are environmentally sustainable and respectful of human rights. We are proud to have leaders like Ms. Pham Thi Hoai An, who are continuously learning and improving our practices. We are excited to share this news with our valued partners and customers. Thank you for taking the time to read about our General Director’s attendance at the HREDD RBH Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop. We will continue to strive to create a better world for all through our unwavering commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.

IMS International is proud to announce its collaboration with Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry branch in Ho Chi Minh City (VCCI-HCM), the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS), the Leather, Handbags and Footwear Association (LEFASO), and IDH Vietnam to organize a Consultation Workshop on assessment of social-labor situation at industrial parks (IPs) and garment/textile and footwear factories. This workshop is a continuation to the morning session on “Updates on production, business and employment situation in the Southern region” and will take place on December 2nd, 2022, from 13:30 to 17:00 at the Meeting Hall, 10th floor, VCCI HCM, No. 171, Vo Thi Sau Stress, 3 District, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

The objective of the Consultation Workshop is to identify social impacts that stakeholders need to focus on and coordinate in order to support garment/textile and footwear enterprises and industrial parks during the period of 2023-2025, with a focus on employment and labor, women’s empowerment, and occupational safety and health at the workplace and industrial parks. The workshop will see participants from VCCI – HCM, VITAS, LEFASO, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), international brands in Vietnam, and representatives of textile and footwear enterprises. By bringing together these key stakeholders, the Consultation Workshop aims to facilitate a comprehensive discussion and create a shared understanding of the social-labor situation at IPs and garment/textile and footwear factories. The workshop seeks to establish collective goals and develop a roadmap for action to ensure sustainable growth and development of the industry. IMS International and its partners are excited to bring together such a diverse group of stakeholders to discuss and identify solutions to the pressing social and labor issues that affect the garment/textile and footwear industry in Vietnam.
